Geoff O'Reilly has spent the last 33 years building several of his own businesses, mostly in the computer industry. Prior to that Geoff worked in IT and then international marketing in a large Australian corporation. During this period he earned two business degrees at university. Geoff established one of Australia's leading home grown IT companies, Hypertec in 1984. Hypertec grew sales to a peak of more than $200m per year, had offices in 10 countries, and employed more than 200 people.

Geoff moved to the Southern Highlands shortly after he purchased Mt Broughton at Sutton Forest in 1984. Over 13 years he restored the grand old building to its former glory and expanded it to the hotel it is today to ensure its ongoing financial viability. It was sold to Peppers in 1997. Geoff further indulged one of his passions for restoring and building great homes by embarking on the restoration of another landmark Highlands property - "Rotherwood" at Sutton Forest - in 1999. In 2001, renovations were complete and he was the recipient of awards for his efforts from the District Historical Society and the Shire Council.

Geoff's keen interest in property and the Highlands region led naturally to him starting in real estate and setting up his current business Highlands Property in 2005. Highlands Property is now the leading property manager and real estate agent in the Southern Highlands. Geoff is a licenced Real Estate Agent, Stock & Station Agent and Business Agent.
